Needed update

We know, we know, it's been AGES since we've updated. Mommy feels very guilty, so check out the Editor's Note at the bottom of this post to somewhat explain why it's been so long since we've blogged. Until then , enjoy just a few pictures and video of our happenings in the last few months.

GO HUSKERS!! Here I am with my Buddy Espen. We got to cheer on the Husker's together a few weeks ago. Well, actually we mainly played in the ice while our mommy's talked about nothing football related and our daddy's watched the game (and drank beer)!

We've discovered Culver's has the best frozen custard and butterburgers to touch this planet!

This was taken on a recent trip to Rapid City. We visited and played our hearts out while Daddy was stuck at home installing new flooring in our house!!! It was worth it, because the flooring is BE-U-TI-FUL! Left to right: Kaitlyn, Cam, Jenna, Shaylee, Bryce. Our next cousin picture will feature the newest starlette scheduled to arrive on December 2nd. We can't wait to meet her.

We wonder when our Mommy will quit being such a dork and let us wear Halloween costumes that AREN'T hand made!!! Bryce was a sheep and Cam was a cow.

We saw our buddies Espen and Taylee dowtown trick-or-treating. Espend was a skunk and Taylee was a monkey. Also pictured is Espen's beautiful Mommy, Jenny.

Yes, those are cotton balls, and yes, I did eat a few!

Growing up so fast. Cam has developed into quite a personality. Of course, it doesn't help that our Daddy loves to teach him this type of stuff! Also, it's hard to believe it's already been just shy of a year since Bryce has entered our lives. Can you believe he's this close to walking? We give it a week or so before it's his main mode of transportation (besides Mommy and Daddy's arms)!!!

EDITOR'S NOTE: OK, here are my feeble attempts at making up excuses for not blogging more often!
1) Going back to work full-time has been great for the most part. But, I've never done it with TWO children at home!! I'm ashamed to say the camera doesn't get used as much as it should.
2) Sleep issues! Camden has developed several fears including: cats, the dark, and sleeping by himself! He's always been a somewhat decent sleeper. However, now he refuses to go to sleep by himself. So, that leaves one of us in bed with him until he falls asleep. Or more like, until we wake up in his room at 11:30 pm. Needless to say, I rarely have a waking moment to myself anymore. So, the computer doesn't get turned on much unless it's to work on IEPs! Even then one of the boys is crawling all over it trying to get a peek! Bryce, who has never been a good sleeper, is still battling chronic ear infections. This has caused many sleepless nights the last few months. Sometimes I fear we are both nearing exhaustion. So, we finally said enough is enough. Bryce will be going to get tubes in his ears on December 4th. Please keep all of us in your prayers. It is a very simple procedure that only includes local anesthetic. In fact, they say we should be in and out in about 45 minutes! I've heard from many people that this makes a world of difference in the lives of the little ones with chronic ear infections. Even so, there is always a little worry involved. However, I know there may some people out there who think we're terrible for even considering this controversial procedure. All I have to say to that is: it's terrible knowing your child is in pain and there's very little you can do about it (especially from 12:30 am to 5:30 am). And, I've had my share of kids with major speech and language problems due to chronic ear infections as a toddler. OK, I'm stepping off my soap-box.
3) Pain. I have been so lucky the last few years. It seems like my arthritis has really been under control with little to no pain medication. However, the stress in our lives is getting the best of me. I'm hoping to have Bryce weened in a few weeks so I can go back on my pain meds and be able to walk up a flight of stairs without wincing.

OK, I've just re-read what wrote and I sound like a real complainer! But, in all actuality, life is pretty great!!! The boys are doing awesome, Aaron's happy with his job, and I actually am probably the happiest with my job as I have ever been! It's fun being close to grandparents and seeing our cousins more often. Our social lives are picking up and the house is shaping into something we can be proud of showing off. We're really looking forward to the Holidays to see some "long lost" friends and family. (Vrbas' and Fischer's: we need to make some plans) So, until our next post. So long!!!

We are glad for the updates. I didn't know you were working full time, but that will do it for sure! I can't even imagine how much you have to manage now! I myself am avoiding schoolwork as we speak! The boys are so cute and the pictures made up for the long wait! I will be praying for Bryce's ears and your health!
