20 Acre Farm

Last week my friend, Gracie, and I took my kids to visit another friend, Natalie, who owns several acres of land just outside of town.   I consider it a goat and chicken farm!  Basically whatever animal her children would like to show in 4-H is what they have.  The kids had a ball!  Thanks Nat!  We'll have to do it again soon!

Emmy was intrigued with the chickens!

Bryce is proud of his find!
The boys were so happy that Natalie gave them a "job" of feeding the chickens.  They thought they were pretty important!

"Gracie the Goat Whisperer"!  Sorry for the excessive amount of pictures of her holding the goat's leashes.  She's just such a good sport and babysat the goals while the boys had fun with the chickens!

Look how cute Gracie is!!!!

Emmy got her chance at feeding too!  Those were some well fed chickens.  I bet the eggs they produced that day were especially healthy!

Natalie hatched chicks in an incubator in her classroom this spring.  They hatched on Cam birthday, so the first chick was named in honor of him.  Here is Cam-O looking at Cam-O the chicken!  (he refused to touch it, silly kid)

Emmy didn't mind petting Cam-O!
