Introducing Amelia Fanshuang
![]() |
We are over the moon to introduce the little girl of our dreams. A process that we have been in for 15 months is coming close to completion! Wu Fan Shuang was born June 1, 2009 in Wuhan, Hubei China. Amazingly enough she was born practically on the day we started the paperwork for our adoption. I spent most of that summer compiling our dossier for a little girl that we did not even know was alive yet. We are very lucky in that Amelia is being taken care of in a foster family that seems to love her and care for her very well. Her stats show she is practically the same size as her older brothers, Cam and Bryce, were at that age. What we do know about her is that her favorite food is "fat meat soup" (hmm, I'm not finding that in any of my recipe books), she loves dolls, is supposedly a good sleeper (I doubt that because none of my kids love to sleep, but I'm hoping that is accurate), is healthy and seldom gets ill. She is also described as energetic and sometimes obstinate. It sounds like she'll fit right in to our crazy family. |

I can't wait to hold my little girl in my arms. We'll keep you updated as the process continue, but we hope to be heading to China is 4-6 months. |

Cara, my heart is just melting. As an adoptive/foster parent, I can relate somewhat but in a very different manner, I am sure. Your daughter will be so loved by your, your family, your extended family and friends. She is precious. Thank God for the direction you took ... she will be blessed... and so will you!
